Mineral metabolism and acid-base disorders are among the most complex topics in internal medicine. Systematic differential diagnosis and high clinical suspicion help develop treatment plans for common issues like recurrent urolithiasis. We share clinical cases from the Nephrology Congress of the Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension focusing on electrolyte, water, acid-base, and urolithiasis disorders.
